An Easy System for Independent Production
One breakdown feeds the schedule. The schedule feeds the budget. The budget feeds the report the state asks for at the end. Nothing gets rebuilt at each stage, which is why nothing goes missing.
The Texas incentive, in plain terms.
Texas pays a cash grant on qualifying in-state spend, and the rate is set by what you spend here rather than by your budget. On a film or series it is 5% once eligible Texas spend reaches $250,000, 10% at $1 million, and 25% at $1.5 million, with additional awards on top for projects that hit their thresholds. The Commission decides who qualifies. What we do is the work that earns it: the residency forms, the location days, the vendor records and the submission.
